The Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications for an Assistant to Full Professor in Breast Oncology to join a nationally recognized multidisciplinary breast cancer program within an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is an exciting opportunity to practice at the forefront of breast oncology while contributing to innovative clinical research, translational discovery, and academic leadership.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive breast oncology care within a collaborative outpatient-focused practice supported by an experienced team of advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary specialists across breast surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and translational science. This role offers meaningful opportunities for leadership within breast oncology programs, guidance of early phase clinical trials, and development of robust clinical and translational research initiatives.
Under the leadership of Renier Brentjens, Chair of the Department of Medicine, physicians are empowered to build innovative academic programs and collaborate closely with outstanding clinical, basic science, and population science investigators across Roswell Park.
The Breast Oncology Program at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is nationally recognized for its multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer care, translational research, and clinical trial innovation. Faculty collaborate across medical oncology, surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, genetics, immunology, and population sciences to advance precision oncology and improve patient outcomes.
As part of an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the department provides access to extensive clinical trial infrastructure, robust translational research support, and a deeply collaborative academic environment dedicated to advancing the future of breast cancer treatment.
Required Education and Experience
License or Certification Requirement: Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified or eligible in Medical Oncology and be able to meet licensure requirements in New York State. Exceptional foreign medical graduates will be considered.
Medical Doctor degree in the field of General Internal Medicine.
