About the Role
The Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications for the leadership role of Section Chief, Applied Cancer Therapeutics (ACT). This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished academic oncologist to lead and expand innovative clinical and translational research efforts focused on immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and investigational therapeutics across solid tumor and hematologic malignancies.
The successful candidate will provide strategic and clinical leadership within a highly collaborative academic environment dedicated to advancing next-generation cancer therapies and improving patient outcomes. This role combines high-level patient care, clinical trial leadership, translational research, faculty mentorship, and academic engagement within one of the nation’s premier NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

The Applied Cancer Therapeutics and Medical Oncology programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center are nationally recognized for advancing innovative cancer therapies, translational research, and multidisciplinary oncology care. Faculty work collaboratively across solid tumor oncology, hematologic malignancies, cellular therapy, immunotherapy, infectious diseases, and investigational therapeutics to accelerate the development of novel treatment strategies for patients with complex cancers.
As part of an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the department offers extensive clinical trial infrastructure, state-of-the-art research resources, and a deeply collaborative academic environment dedicated to scientific discovery and transformative patient care.

Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
