Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Architect to support project teams across a variety of project types, from corporate offices to healthcare and government facilities. You will assist from conceptual design through construction, adapting plans to budget and client needs.

This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and progressive responsibility. The position requires a Bachelor Degree in Architecture, internship experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture or related field required.
• NAAB accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related experience preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills preferred.
• Basic knowledge of standard architectural concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in problem-solving environment.
• Basic software skills including BIM (Revit), Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in architectural design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of building types.
• Assist in designing interiors based on client vision and project managers' requirements.
• Apply basic knowledge of architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
• Assist with research and compiles project-related data as required.
• Assist with correcting and updating drawings across multiple software platforms.
• Assist with client presentations, renderings and marketing collateral.
• Assist in performing field inspections, measurements or calculations.
