The City of Mount Airy Parks & Recreation Department is seeking an Assistant Aquatics Supervisor. Responsibilities include supervising and training part-time and seasonal lifeguards, providing swimming instruction in various classes, teaching water fitness classes as needed, maintaining records, pool maintenance, rescue services, and enforcing community center rules and regulations. The position requires working evenings and weekends, with responsibilities including opening the pool as needed. The starting salary is $31,200 annually.
Preferred qualifications include American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Water Safety Instructor Certification, Water Aerobics Instructor Certification, and Certified Pool Operator Certification, or willingness to obtain these certifications.
