Job summary

The YMCA of Greater San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Program Leader to support after-school programs at local elementary and middle schools. You will help run engaging activities, assist with tutoring and recreation, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for youth.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old, ready to work 1:00–6:00 p.m., and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification. A TB test clearance is required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age and legally eligible to work.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday during after-school hours (1:00–6:00 p.m.).
• Interest in supporting youth development and after-school programs.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• TB test clearance prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide program support and activities for youth in YMCA after-school programs.
• Assist with age-appropriate learning, enrichment, and recreational activities.
• Support setup, cleanup, and preparation of program materials and spaces.
• Supervise youth to maintain a safe, inclusive environment and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain attendance, sign-in/out sheets, and basic program records.
