Job summary

ForceBrands is seeking an experienced Assistant Accounting Manager for a full-time, on-site role in Torrance, CA. The candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, supervise AP/AR staff, and drive the month-end close while ensuring US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

You will play a critical role in ERP transition efforts, data migration, and reporting improvements, collaborating with Sales, Logistics, and operations to optimize financial processes within a growing CPG

Qualifications

6+ years of progressive accounting experience including GL, close, and reconciliations.
Experience supervising accounting staff, especially AP/AR.
CPA or active candidacy is a plus and preferred for leadership roles.
Experience with ERP implementations or migrations preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, cash applications, billing and reconciliations.
Lead month-end close processes, journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, inventory adjustments, and GL reconciliations.
Supervise and mentor AP/AR staff ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages per US GAAP.
Manage broker commissions, trade rebates, and customer deductions; review freight/3PL costs.
