JAC Recruitment seeks an experienced Assistant Accounting Manager to join its growing U.S. team for a leading Japanese food manufacturer.

This hands-on leadership role covers accounting operations, month-end close, staff supervision, and a major ERP transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will ensure US GAAP compliance, supervise staff, collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Marketing, and support audits and tax activities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close, GL accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience leading or supervising accounting staff and developing the team.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, accrual accounting and audit support.
• ERP experience and reporting improvements; exposure to Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP or similar platforms preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations incl. AP/AR, cash applications, billing reviews, and banking activities.
• Manage month-end close processes with journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and reconciliations.
• Prepare audit-ready financial statements and balance sheet analyses in line with U.S. GAAP; support audits and tax activities.
• Drive ERP transition from QuickBooks Desktop to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central; data migration and reporting validation.
• Calculate and reconcile sales commissions, trade rebates, and freight/warehouse costs across channels.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff through ongoing training and meetings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Marketing to support business operations and process improvements.
• Contribute to strategic projects supporting company growth.
