Job Description
POSITION GOAL
To coordinate and support the effective management of non-educational, logistical supportfunctions of the district.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the active coordination of employee service functions with all aspects of the district’s operations.
- Support compliance with all laws, statutes, rules, policies, and procedures governing construction, student transportation, purchasing, maintenance, school food services, land use and planning, and safety and security.
- Recommend policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.
- Assist in the planning and development of division goals, objectives, and strategies.
- Assist with the preparation of agenda materials for school board meetings.
- Coordinate all administrative functions within the Operational Services division.
- Develop procedures for coordinating activities related to special projects within the division.
- Interpret and apply rules, policies, and procedures related to the Operational Services division.
- Represent the district at various governmental boards and councils as assigned.
- Assist with the approved retention/destruction process of records for the Operational Services division.
- Monitor and support the effectiveness of internal and external operational processes.
- Serve as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, public administration, education or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred
- Three (3) or more years of experience in operations, facilities, or logistical support functions
- Experience working within a regulated environment or large public-sector organization
- Familiarity with operational support functions within a school district or comparable organization
- Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License; if a holder of any other valid US state-issued Driver’s License, agree to acquire a Florida Driver’s License within thirty (30) days of employment, except in a case where accommodation is required
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency with administrative computer and systems applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to collaborate with school-based and district staff across professional, technical, and operational areas
- Ability to function as a productive member of a leadership team
- Ability to work cooperatively with professional staff and the school community
- Ability to coordinate and cooperate with community partners and governmental entities
- Ability to identify and respond to trends and issues affecting areas of responsibility
