Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to provide coverage in short-term, surge, and on-demand situations for service members and families at Idaho installations.

Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, education, and referrals to resources, aligned with DoD directives. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience), 3+ years in financial counseling, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's not specified.
• Associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's.
• High school diploma plus 6 years' experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Must pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for OCI.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Helps establish spending plans for extended absences.
• Develops and distributes informational financial materials.
• Coordinates and delivers Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes as available.
