Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking Assignment Readiness Counselor (ARC) – Short Term and On Demand to support military installations. This Summer ARC role covers May 15 through September 15 with minimal supervision and focuses on non-medical, brief counseling for adults, children and youth of service members and families.

You will deliver brief therapy, training, health and wellness presentations, and maintain confidential records while coordinating with DoD POC.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field or social work.
• Current licensure as an independent clinician (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English required.
• Willingness to accept short-notice, variable assignments including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children and youth of service members.
• Deliver training, health and wellness presentations, and parent guidance.
• Enter counselor activity data daily while maintaining confidentiality and linkage to resources.
• Collaborate with DoD POC to ensure program scope and needs are met on military installations.
