Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. seeks an Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) to cover short-term and on-demand counseling assignments at military installations.

The role includes adult and youth counseling, training, and coordination with installation POCs, with assignments across DoDEA and community schools as needed. The position requires current licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and a Master’s in Behavioral Health or Social Work, plus experience with brief therapy and military culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field, or social work.
• Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
• Willingness to accept assignments on short notice, including weekends.
• Experience working in school settings to qualify for CYB role in backing up a school position.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth.
• Deliver training and health and wellness presentations at bases or DoD installations.
• Enter counselor activity data daily via mobile or web apps while maintaining confidentiality.
