Job summary

Madison College is seeking an Asset Technician to manage the Technology Services hardware depot across the district. You will track asset orders, assign I.D. numbers and barcodes, and schedule distribution and installation of orders to ensure efficient operations.

You will maintain inventories of CPUs, printers, monitors, cables, and replacement parts across campus locations. The role supports the district-wide strategy for replacing outdated hardware and software, follows IT policies, and

Qualifications

• Four years of related work experience including asset management.
• Experience with medium-to-large IT environments (500-2000 workstations).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Provide inventory management services for Technology Services assets district-wide.
• Maintain an inventory management system for accurate tracking of assets.
• Assign unique identification numbers and barcodes to items upon receipt.
• Organize and facilitate the distribution and installation of orders.
• Assist in hardware replacement and asset lifecycle planning across campus locations.
• Respond to incident tickets and hardware maintenance requests.
