Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Asset Engineer / Asset Manager in Texas to oversee the lifecycle, reliability, utilization, and performance of company-owned assets used in field operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Finance, and regional leadership to deploy, track, and replace assets, while developing strategies to improve total cost of ownership and asset reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of asset management, equipment reliability, or oilfield operations experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and oilfield service operations.
• Experience with asset utilization analysis, maintenance history, and cost data.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of operational assets from acquisition to retirement.
• Monitor asset condition, utilization, downtime, and performance metrics.
• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for critical equipment.
• Support annual capital planning and cost control for assets and replacements.
• Develop asset performance reporting and support leadership with data-driven decisions.
