Lake Michigan Credit Union in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Repossession Specialist I to protect assets by managing delinquent loan accounts, recovering collateral, and ensuring sale value.

You will coordinate with third-party repossession agencies, review condition reports and auction data, and prepare communications in line with CFPB, FDCPA, and SCRA requirements while maintaining accurate records.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of related experience; credit union experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to work in a professional office environment.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with third-party repossession agencies to locate and recover collateral.
• Review collateral condition reports, photos, and auction data to inform valuation and sale decisions.
• Prepare and deliver member communications and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations (CFPB, FDCPA, SCRA).
• Process payments, approve invoices, and maintain accurate ledgers and member records.
• Adhere to LMCU values: curious minds, collaborative hearts, continuous excellence.
• Comply with laws including Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
