Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Asset Protection/Shrink role to observe, document, and investigate theft and fraud across stores. You will collect evidence, conduct inquiries, and report findings to AP leadership while adhering to company policies.

The role requires 1+ years in retail security or related leadership, a high school diploma, and willingness to travel to designated stores as needed. Must be 18+ and able to work in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years retail work experience/Asset Protection/Security or equivalent leadership experience/education preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience, AA/BA/BS in Criminal Justice or Business Management preferred.
• Must be age 18+.

Responsibilities

• Observes activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity; collects investigative evidence utilizing CCTV and observations from the sales floor.
• Executes required Company investigation routines to identify and resolve theft and properly documents all stages.
• Conducts external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Reports suspected fraud and infractions to AP and/or Store leadership.
• Travels to stores as necessary.
