Job summary

Nordstrom in Seattle is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to safeguard customers, colleagues and inventory while supporting the store’s Emergency Response Team (ERT). You will monitor safety, investigate incidents, and partner with leadership to reduce shrinkage and protect assets.

The role requires strong decision making, clear communication, and ability to handle confidential information in a fast-paced retail environment. A valid security license is mandated in listed locations.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to make decisions in fast-paced environment.

• Experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft using sound judgment and proper apprehension per policy and AP leadership guidance.
• Identify theft trends via technology, reporting and surveillance methods.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and protective standards.
• Support internal theft investigations via exception reports and surveillance systems.
• Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP leadership.
• Monitor activity using video systems to support investigations.
• Use RFID data to track merchandise movement and aid investigations with inaccuracies.
• Maintain safety and security of customers, employees, and store; escalate and report incidents.
