Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to safeguard customers, teams, and brand assets.

The role partners with the store Emergency Response Team to prepare for and respond to emergencies, defending merchandise availability and reducing shrinkage through vigilant protection and investigations. A typical day includes resolving theft, monitoring for trends, leading security audits, and supporting cross-functional partnerships with store leaders and law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft using sound judgment and conduct lawful apprehensions per policy and AP guidance.
• Identify theft trends via technology, reporting, and surveillance.
• Drive shrinkage reduction by implementing action plans and protection standards.
• Support internal theft investigations using reporting and surveillance systems.
• Investigate internal theft with AP Leadership and Investigation teams.
• Monitor activity with video systems and aid item-level investigations.
• Maintain store safety for customers and employees, escalate incidents as needed.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness in-store training.
• Participate in store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and training.
• Prepare reports for high-profile incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
