Job summary

Bloomingdale's is seeking an Asset Protection Practitioner to safeguard our store assets and people. You will apply AP processes, leverage analytics, and protect shrink while upholding professional standards. The role involves training colleagues, coordinating with store leadership, and partnering with security teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in asset protection, strong communication, and the ability to work with all management levels. Flexibility in scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years' experience in asset protection / loss prevention.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to identify and communicate site-specific ideas and programs.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; good follow-up skills.
• Working knowledge of alarms, CCTV, and lock and key.

Responsibilities

• Lead store AP initiatives and assist shortage reduction.
• Develop communication lines with AP and store colleagues; build relationships.
• Facilitate training of colleagues on shortage & theft mitigation and compliance.
• Utilize reports and data to drive shortage control and protection efforts.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, mall management, and legal counsel.
• Maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues; ensure safety program compliance.
• Aim to improve store safety, shortage, and audit metrics.
