Bloomingdale's is seeking an Asset Protection Practitioner to protect assets and people at our Fairfax area location. You will use analytics and investigate to reduce loss, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism on the sales floor.

You will engage with store leadership, participate in AP plans, and ensure compliance with safety and security policies. The role requires strong communication, organization, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in asset protection / loss prevention.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of alarms, EAS, CCTV, and lock-and-key security systems.
• Ability to make solid business decisions and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP efforts and reduce shortages within the store.
• Build partnerships with AP, store colleagues, and senior management.
• Facilitate training for staff on shortage and theft mitigation.
• Utilize reporting and data to drive shortage control and safety measures.
• Coordinate with local authorities and mall management when needed.
• Maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
• Drive improvements in store safety and compliance metrics.
