Bloomingdale's in New Jersey is seeking an Asset Protection Practitioner to protect our store assets and people. Our program provides training and growth as you sharpen investigative skills within the AP team.

You’ll use data to reduce shrink, build partnerships with colleagues and management, and ensure compliance with safety policies. A strong communicator with organized, flexible work habits will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in asset protection / loss prevention.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey site-specific ideas.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; solid follow-up.
• Knowledge of alarms, EAS, CCTV, and lock and key.
• Ability to make solid business decisions and implement changes.
• Highly organized and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Team player and flexible scheduling.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP efforts and shortage reduction within store.
• Develop open communication with AP and store colleagues, central and corporate.
• Facilitate training of store colleagues and leadership on shortage and theft mitigation.
• Utilize reporting and data to drive shortage control and compliance.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, mall management, and legal counsel.
• Provide a safe store environment and ensure safety program compliance.
• Drive improvements in store safety and audit metrics.
