Job summary

Bloomingdale's is seeking an Asset Protection Practitioner to protect assets and people at our location. You will use analytics and investigations to reduce shortages, lead AP initiatives, and partner with store teams to enforce policies while maintaining a professional environment.

The role requires 1–3 years in asset protection, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work with all levels of management. Flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 to 3 years' experience in asset protection / loss prevention.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to identify and communicate site-specific ideas and programs.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; good follow-up skills.
• Working knowledge of the physical security aspects of the job including alarms, EAS, CCTV, and lock and key.
• Ability to make solid business decisions, make recommendations and implement necessary changes.
• Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and communicate AP efforts to reduce shortages in-store.
• Build open lines of communication with AP, store colleagues, and executives.
• Facilitate training on shortage, theft mitigation, and compliance.
• Use reporting and data to support shortage control and theft mitigation.
• Coordinate with retailers, local law enforcement, mall management, and legal counsel.
• Create a safe environment for customers and colleagues, ensure safety program compliance.
• Drive improvements in store safety, shortage and audit metrics.
