Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize various tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems, and fostering a shrink elimination culture within the store.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
2. Preserving evidence and interacting with law enforcement authorities.
3. Testifying in criminal and civil court proceedings.
4. Reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
5. Carrying out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes injury risks to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.

The Asset Protection Specialist must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and focus on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
