Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize tools to minimize loss to the company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink elimination culture in the store. Other responsibilities include:

1. Preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
2. Preserving evidence and interacting with law enforcement.
3. Testifying in criminal and civil court actions.
4. Reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
5. Carrying out job responsibilities safely, minimizing injury risks to oneself and others.
6. Demonstrating integrity at all times.
7. Responding to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates.
8. Remaining focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
