Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection Agent in Portland, OR to safeguard customers, teams, and merchandise. You will work with the store Emergency Response Team, utilize video and RFID data, and lead security initiatives to reduce shrinkage while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft by using good judgment and conduct appropriate apprehensions.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting, and surveillance.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and protection standards.
• Support internal theft investigations with reporting and surveillance.
• Investigate internal theft and partner with AP leadership and teams.
• Monitor activity with video systems and assist investigations.
• View merchandise movement with RFID data and aid item-level investigations.
• Maintain safety and security of customers and employees; respond to incidents.
• Lead security audits, participate in store meetings, and trainings.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and participate in training.
• Prepare prompt reports for incidents, recoveries, and policy violations.
• Testify in court when required and coordinate with authorities.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, retailers, and local law enforcement.
