They utilize tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems, and promoting a shrink elimination culture. Other responsibilities include preparing detailed case reports, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in court. The specialist must report hazardous conditions, minimize injury risks, demonstrate integrity, and support store-specific business objectives while maintaining key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
