Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator in Portland to help maintain a secure store environment and support safety initiatives. You will partner with store leadership and local law enforcement while reducing shrink and promoting operational excellence.

You will monitor CCTV, support investigations, and help train store teams on prevention measures. The role requires a valid security license in listed locations and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• Valid security license required in OR and listed locations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills (preferred).
• Comfortable using surveillance, reporting, and monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data and responding to alarms.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and reporting tools.
• Complete accurate incident and security metric reports
• Assist in training store teams on asset prevention and coordinate with management and local law enforcement.
