Ace Hardware Corporation is seeking an Asset Protection Officer I in Princeton, IL. The role ensures the security and safety of the facility, oversees access, conducts audits, and supports investigations and cycle counts.

The position requires CCTV experience, a related degree or equivalent experience, and flexibility for non-traditional hours. You will be involved in safety training, PPE usage, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while supporting a strong loss prevention culture

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security/Loss Prevention/Law Enforcement preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain through company training.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Walks exterior of the facility conducting safety, hazard, and security audits.
• Monitors hazard materials storeroom and cleans spills.
• Oversees disposition of damaged items and moves goods to safe locations.
• Conducts general investigations, inventory counts, and cycle counts.
• Operates computers and office equipment; reads SOPs and monitors alarms and CCTV.
• Provides trainings to other employees; performs housekeeping duties and keeps areas neat.
