Job summary

Belk is seeking an Asset Protection Lead to help the store reduce shortages and improve profitability. The role leads process improvement and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and laws, while upholding the company's values around teamwork and accountability.

You will own store objectives, prevent theft and fraud, assist with incidents, lead awareness training, data security, and AP system usage, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Ability to use data, guidance, and judgement to support timely and effective decisions.
• Retail/AP experience with customer service focus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing security needs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and drive store objectives and key metrics.
• Support shortage reduction by identifying theft, fraud, and dishonesty.
• Assist with incidents and document reports per procedures and laws.
• Lead awareness training, data security, and AP system usage.
• Communicate daily goals and key tasks to the team.
• Foster onboarding and ongoing learning for associates.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement to resolve cases.
