Job summary

Belk in San Francisco is seeking an Asset Protection Lead to help reduce shortages and protect profitability. This hourly role leads process improvements, ensures policy compliance, and promotes a store culture of teamwork, trust, and accountability.

You will own targets, support incident prevention, assist with investigations, lead awareness training, and coordinate with store teams and law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail or AP experience.
• Customer service excellence.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Owns store objectives, drives key metrics with accountability and initiative.
• Identify and prevent theft, fraud, and dishonesty to reduce shortages.
• Assist with investigations following procedures, standards and laws, with accurate reporting.
• Lead awareness training, data security, and AP system usage in-store.
• Communicate daily goals and essential tasks to the team.
• Help onboard and teach associates to improve AP program knowledge.
• Maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing needs to support business continuity.
• Build relationships with local law enforcement for case resolution.
• Ensure store systems function properly and report outages or safety concerns promptly.
