JCPenney is seeking an Asset Protection professional to observe store activity, detect theft, and conduct investigations. You will document evidence, interview suspects, and report incidents to leadership while maintaining records and supporting safety initiatives.

Travel to stores as needed and coordinate with law enforcement on external investigations. The role emphasizes thorough documentation, adherence to policy, and proactive risk mitigation in a retail environment.

Formación

• 1+ years retail work experience / Asset Protection / Security or equivalent leadership experience/education preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent; AA/BA/BS in Criminal Justice or Business Management preferred.
• Must be age 18+.

Responsabilidades

• Observe activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity and collect investigative evidence per policy.
• Execute required investigation routines to identify and resolve theft and properly document all stages.
• Conduct external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Report suspected fraud and policy infractions to AP and/or Store leadership.
• Create and manage records for apprehension, witness statements, retention of evidence, and disposition of recovered merchandise.
• Collect evidence and monitor associate activity as needed for investigations and serve as an interview witness.
• Identify potential acts of theft by observing activity, exception reports, and referrals.
• Investigate suspicious behavior and maintain related files; attend court hearings as required.
• Travel to stores as necessary and maintain relationships with local law enforcement.
