Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to safeguard customers, teams and merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment in Washington, DC. You will partner with the store Emergency Response Team to respond to emergencies, mitigate shrinkage, and conduct investigations.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with sound judgment and compliant applicative apprehensions.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting and surveillance.
• Drive shrinkage reduction via action plans and protection standards.
• Support internal theft investigations using reports and surveillance systems.
• Investigate internal theft with AP leadership and investigation teams.
• Operate video systems to monitor activity and aid investigations.
• Use RFID data to track merchandise movement for investigations.
• Maintain store safety for customers and employees; respond to incidents.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness training with store teams.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in training.
• Prepare prompt reports for high-profile incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
• Testify in court when summoned for cases.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, nearby retailers, and local law enforcement.
