Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to help keep customers, teams, and brands safe while protecting company profits. The role collaborates with the store Emergency Response Team to respond to emergencies and reduce shrinkage through proactive protection of people and physical spaces.

The position involves identifying theft trends, leading investigations, and maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced retail environment. A valid security license is required in several locations.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft by using good judgment and conducting quality apprehensions in high shrinkage areas.
• Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, reporting and surveillance tactics.
• Drive shrinkage reduction by implementing action plans and merchandise protection standards.
• Identify, elevate, and support internal theft investigations using various methods including exception-based reporting and surveillance systems.
• Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP Leadership and Investigation teams.
• Monitor theft activity via video systems to support investigations.
• Leverage RFID data to monitor merchandise movement and aid item-level investigations.
• Maintain safety and security of customers and employees, responding to incidents and reporting accordingly.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness training within the store.
