Job summary

DANE LLC is seeking an Asset Management Technician in Washington DC to image laptops/desktops, deploy equipment, and support printers/scanners across the site. You will manage hardware assets through their lifecycle and keep the inventory system up to date.

Requirements include 2+ years in asset management, DoD Secret clearance or higher, and strong communication. Onsite role with aggressive PTO and benefits. Flexible work-from-home options available.

We are looking for an Asset Management Technician to join our team. As a member of the team, you will perform activities related to imaging of laptops, desktops and installing new laptop and desktop computers across a site. Installation of network/local printers and scanners may also be required. The Asset Management Technician responsibilities will revolve around supporting the hardware asset management function by performing physical inventory of IT assets as well as tracking and managing IT assets through their lifecycle (receiving, deployment, change maintenance and disposal) to keep the inventory system of record up to date and assisting and monitoring of laptop image deployment to devices.

Responsibilities
  • Experience installing software on laptop and/or desktop computers utilizing established processes and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to provide top-notch customer service to end-users being supported.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide technical support for clients as it relates to the deployment tasks at hand
  • Document actions and solutions performed with/for the client
  • Stage equipment at respective user locations throughout target site per plan
  • Restore backed up data and user profile(s) to new device.
  • Support disposal of assets; remove assets from service and stage for shipment to or pickup by disposal vendor
  • Verify imaged devices have correct image and application/setting overlays for each End User includes base image and all required supporting software overlays
  • Required patches/updates
  • Domain registration/Active Directory configuration and GPO deployment where applicable
  • Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the government customer.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to provide top-notch customer service to end-users being supported.
  • Self-starter, dependable/reliable, work independently or in a team environment
  • Must possess a commitment to excellence, a strong sense of urgency and dedication to client satisfaction.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized
  • Capable of prioritizing work and multi-tasking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Working proficiency with standard ticketing and inventory management tools (i.e. ServiceNow)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain agency suitability clearance.
Desired Skills or Experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in an analytical role; experience working with inventory management preferred.
  • One or more industry standard certifications- A+, Security+, Network+; etc. preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to move/handle equipment up to 30 pounds such as servers, workstations, monitors, etc.
