Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Power Generation Technical Services Specialist in Asset Management. The role focuses on developing Maximo expertise, supporting system enhancements, and enabling continuous improvement within a large, diverse generation portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2+ years in asset management or related tech roles, and experience with SQL and Agile delivery. Willingness to travel for plant support is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems, engineering, business, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience with business systems, asset management, data analysis, or related technical work.
• Experience with SQL to query relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Agile ceremonies, product ownership practices, and backlog refinement.
• Experience translating business requirements into process documentation, user stories, and test cases.

Responsibilities

• Provides full-time technical support to operations and business unit personnel.
• Performs system testing and documentation during changes or upgrades.
• Identifies root causes and implements technical solutions for complex issues.
• Leads functional specification, design, and implementation of asset management tools and integrations.
• Develops and improves processes to increase productivity and reduce risk.
