Macdonald and Company are partnered with a growing developer and investor of Multifamily and Mixed-Use assets to appoint an Asset Management Associate.

The Role

The Asset Manager will oversee a portfolio of predominantly value-add Multifamily assets across markets such as Colorado, Texas, North Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee.

Role Responsibilities

• Support the creation and implementation of strategic operating plans across a portfolio of housing communities.
• Track and evaluate property-level results versus pro forma expectations, identifying key performance trends and providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Draft and deliver consistent reporting deliverables including weekly dashboards, monthly operating reviews, and quarterly investment updates for both internal leadership and external partners.
• Work closely with on-site management to drive leasing performance, execute capital improvement plans, and enhance resident retention initiatives.
• Perform property visits and operational reviews to monitor asset condition, ensure alignment with business objectives, and uncover areas for operational enhancement.
• Coordinate with internal acquisition and development teams to align renovation programs, unit improvement strategies, and repositioning efforts across the portfolio.
• Manage and update detailed financial models; provide support on sensitivity analyses related to debt restructuring, equity recapitalizations, and asset sales.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with JV partners, third-party providers, and equity/lending partners.
• Play an active role in fostering a results-driven, team-oriented asset management environment focused on continuous improvement.
