Job summary

GDIT in Ashburn, VA is seeking an Asset Management Analyst Junior to support CBP cyber operations by maintaining asset inventories and ensuring accurate records. The role emphasizes procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposition across a cybersecurity-focused mission environment.

The position requires 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with ITIL/CHAMP/CompTIA A+ certifications valued. Onsite work and a strong collaborative approach are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) year of professional relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience performing routine asset record updates, correct discrepancies, and validate system-enumerated assets to maintain authoritative data sources.
• Foundational understanding of asset management processes, databases, or discovery tools (training provided as needed).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy across large datasets.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple technical and operational stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of asset databases or CMDB structures.
• Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundations, CHAMP, CompTIA A+.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a cybersecurity-focused mission environment, ensuring that asset data remains reliable for operational and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and update asset inventories to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with asset lifecycle tracking (procurement, deployment, maintenance, disposition).
• Validate discovered hardware and software assets.
• Support asset reconciliation efforts and help resolve data discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing asset management reports.
