Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Experience in asset based lending or credit training preferred, but not required.
• Experience managing a portfolio of asset reliant transactions with varying levels of complexity.
• Strong planning, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ABL Team, Relationship Managers and portfolio companies to analyze new lending opportunities and manage a portfolio of existing loans.
• Provide oversight for the management of a portfolio of asset-based and ABL facilities.
• Conduct due diligence (company/industry), collateral and financial analysis, modeling, legal diligence; identify risks and prepare credit memos.
• Prepare presentations and approval recommendations for internal sign-off.
• Build and maintain relationships with RM, credit approval, collateral group, appraisers, counsel, management, and sponsors.
• Assist the ABL Group with various projects.
• Ensure compliance and operational risk controls per HSBC and regulatory standards.
• Optimize regulator relations by addressing issues.
• Promote a positive environment reflecting HSBC brand.
