Job summary

Sixth Street Asset Based Finance is seeking an Investing Associate in New York to analyze and underwrite corporate finance transactions across industries. You will conduct rigorous due diligence, build financial models and present investment materials for committee review.

Qualifications

• Finance or Investment Banking experience within a Financial Institutions focused group (1-4 years of experience).
• Superior valuation, modeling, and Excel skills evaluating financial assets.
• Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented candidates with strong accounting, finance, modeling, and problem solving skills.
• Strong combination of organizational and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Keen interest in the financial markets and good commercial instincts.

Responsibilities

• Conducting due diligence on investment opportunities, including in-depth analysis on specialty finance companies and financial institutions (detailed valuation and financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, DCF analysis, comparables analysis, etc.)
• Preparing and presenting due diligence materials, screening, and investment committee memos
• Ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies and quarterly valuation of investments
• Interfacing and negotiating with external counterparties
