Job summary

FirstEnergy seeks a seasoned engineering leader to oversee Distribution Engineering Support, directing a team of engineers and analysts in delivering reliable systems and safety-focused projects. You will drive performance through clear accountability and strategic direction.

In this role, you will partner with regional teams, manage priorities, and support emergencies and storm-related activities while traveling to various facilities and customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with GIS, Distribution Design, Construction and Material Standards.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives and manage priorities.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills under deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, GIS, CREWS, PowerOn, CAD/AutoCAD.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities of a team including engineers and analysts.
• Executes the Distribution Engineering Support business plan guided by policies and procedures.
• Reports to the Manager, Apps and System Support and communicates progress.
• Leads safety initiatives, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
• Engages with industry groups and coordinates with internal/external customers.
