Job summary

Columbus Springs Dublin, a 72-bed behavioral health hospital, is seeking a dedicated Assessment Specialist for full-time night shift (7pm–7am). You will perform initial assessments, coordinate care, and support admission and follow-up processes to ensure patient safety and appropriate next steps.

Applicants should hold an associate degree in nursing or a master’s in social work/counseling, possess OH licenses, and demonstrate strong clinical assessment and customer service in a psychiatric

• Current clinical, social work, or RN license in OH.
• Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility with adults and geriatric patients preferred.
• Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
• CPR and CPI certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates response to a request for services, including the initial response, the assessment, and referral process, the designation of the appropriate level of care, admission into services, and appropriate follow up activity.
• Documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA.
• Other duties as assigned.
