Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE is seeking a hands-on assembler for 1st shift in Troy, Ohio. The role covers assembly of gear motors and reducers, inventory stocking, and post-assembly activities including testing, packaging, and shipping.

The ideal candidate has excellent mechanical aptitude with hand-assembly experience and the ability to follow ISO instructions, maintain quality, and meet production targets; safety and on-time performance are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives.
• Maintain parts stock between assembly lines and other inventory tasks.
• Repair/restock/warranty evaluations and testing.
• Wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.
• Inspect all work and rework as necessary; follow ISO Quality & Work Instructions.

About the Role Position involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping /receiving and general clean up. The main focus of the position at this time is assembly of reducers and motors.

Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience is required, including a background in hand assembly.

Shift: 1st shift

Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00/hour

• Use calipers, depth and paint millage gauges.
• Must visually inspect all work and rework as necessary.
• Must comply with all current ISO Quality and Work Instructions for job, all Company Safety rules, and all other Company rules, policies and procedures.
• Assess each situation and do not perform any tasks which s/he feels is unsafe, on which s/he has not received training, or engage in any unsafe work practices. Report any unsafe condition to his/her manager.

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
