Job summary

RTX is seeking an Assembly/Test IV - Team Lead to oversee complex mechanical and electromechanical assembly, testing, and fabrication operations, ensuring precision, efficiency, and high quality across standard and non-standard environments.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, operating tools, maintaining inventory, performing quality checks, and implementing engineering changes. The role requires up to 10 hours standing, 25 lb lifts, and potential international travel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • No security clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Operate hand and electrical tools and measuring equipment to assemble components.
  • Maintain inventory at assigned workstations for efficient production.
  • Perform quality checks and document defects for corrective action.
  • Rework or repair assemblies per engineering changes to meet standards.
  • Adhere to quality and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Stand up to 10 hours daily and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Open to international travel for required training.

About the Position

As an Assembly/Test IV - Team Lead, you will lead complex mechanical and electromechanical assembly, testing, and fabrication operations, ensuring precision, efficiency, and high quality in both standard and non-standard environments.

Responsibilities
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently to perform assembly tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of product in assigned workstations, ensuring materials are readily available for ongoing operations.
  • Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and accurately record identified defects for corrective action.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products based on engineering specification changes to meet quality standards.
  • Adhere to all quality standards and established safety procedures, ensuring compliance and a high standard of work.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, promoting efficiency and safety.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation, ensuring safe material handling.
  • Work in a standing position for up to 10 hours per day, contributing to continuous workflow.
  • Be open to international travel for required training, expanding your expertise and ensuring operational excellence.
