Premier Pump & Power in Spring, TX is hiring an Assembly Technician Helper to set up hydro tests, clean the shop, and support daily operations. You will report to the Assembly Supervisor and work in a fast-paced environment with training provided for test equipment and manufacturing processes.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a HS diploma or GED, basic mechanical skills, and willingness to learn. This full-time role offers benefits including 401(k) matching, paid holidays, and vacation time.

Competenze

• Know the basics: how to turn a wrench and change a tire.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.

The Assembly Technician Helper will set up and support hydro testing of pump packages, including connecting units to water test tanks and monitoring for leaks and other operational concerns. The Assembly Technician Helper will also perform cleaning duties and provide general help around the shop. We are looking for someone who wants to work hard and grow within this company, someone who takes pride in their work, who can get set up on their own and deal with the day-to-day tasks. This will be a great opportunity to gain experience and expand your skills!

You will report to the Assembly Supervisor.

This is a full-time position located in Spring, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydro testing on finished pump packages (training provided)
• Complete all required documentation as it relates to the duties of the position
• Support and maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the facility
• Perform required tasks in a timely manner as instructed
• Count parts, materials, and help maintain accurate inventory
• Operate manufacturing equipment (training available)
• Use a computer as needed to process work orders
• Daily housekeeping of the shop (organizing, cleaning etc.)
• Take instructions, adapt quickly and be a team player
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations
• Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma / GED, or equivalent additional job experience
• Know the basics: how to turn a wrench and change a tire
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
• Able to stand and kneel for extended periods
• Able and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditions
• Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow, ask questions, seek self-improvement and the ability to manage your own time effectively

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, and work in a test yard/shop environment for extended periods. Occasionally required to kneel or stoop.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work around running equipment, fluids, and outdoor conditions
• Outdoor and indoor test yard environment
• Exposure to:
  • Moderate to loud noise from running engines and pumps
  • Water spray, mud, and fuel/oil
  • Varying weather conditions
• Required use of PPE (hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots)
