Job summary

Premier Pump & Power in Spring, Texas, is seeking a full-time assembler to join a mechanical team responsible for pump and package assembly. You’ll learn chassis, engine and industrial assembly while following safety rules and quality standards.

You’ll work 10-hour shifts, read simple engineering documents, and contribute to a clean, organized production area. The role requires physical work, reliability and teamwork, with opportunities to advance within our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to work 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday)
• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to read simple blueprints and other engineering documents from an iPad.
• Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment
• Able and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditions
• Follow all company procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations
• Preferred: Able to provide personal tools to complete assigned tasks
• Retirement Plan (401k) company matches up to 4% of employee contributions
• Vacation (up to 40 hours Vacation time accrued per year in years 1-3, pro-rated in year 1 based on start date)
• 8 paid holidays per calendar year

• Assist with aspects of pump and package manufacturing under the guidance of Lead Assemblers and the Assembly Supervisor
• Cut, measure and torque materials as required
• Understand job instructions and complete required job paperwork and documentation in English
• Cut chains, hoses and wires
• Complete battery sub-assemblies
• Assemble bolts, screws and wire harness assemblies on pump packages
• Move materials around the shop with a pallet jack and hand truck

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.

At Premier you will work on all aspects of pump and industrial manufacturing as part of a mechanical team consisting of entry-level, mid-level and senior mechanics. You will learn every aspect of chassis, engine and industrial assembly, contributing and building your mechanical skills. You will prepare with appropriate tools and safety equipment, take instructions and be a team player.

You will report to the Assembly Supervisor.

This is a full-time position located in Spring, Texas.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Employees must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are frequently required to kneel or stoop.

While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate noise levels.
