Job summary

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions with operations in Vancouver, WA. This full-time role supports a mechanical team across assembly, chassis and engine work, following safety rules and building hands-on skills.

You will learn every aspect of pump package assembly, reading simple blueprints, and using appropriate safety equipment. This position reports to the Assembly Supervisor and offers a stable workflow in varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work 8-hour shifts.
• Must be able to read simple blueprints and engineering documents.
• Must wear and maintain all required PPE.
• Able to work in both warehouse and outdoor environments in varying weather.
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
• Preferred: able to provide personal tools.
• 401(k) with company matches up to 4% of employee contributions.
• Vacation time with up to 40 hours in years 1–3; paid holidays (8 per year).

Responsibilities

• Support a clean, organized work environment in the facility.
• Assist with pump and package manufacturing under supervision.
• Cut, measure, and torque materials as required.
• Complete required job paperwork in English.
• Assemble components and wire harnesses on pump packages.
• Move materials using pallet jack and hand truck.
• Follow instructions from Lead Assemblers and Assembly Supervisor.

Job description

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.

At Premier you will work on all aspects of pump and industrial manufacturing as part of a mechanical team consisting of entry-level, mid-level and senior mechanics. You will learn every aspect of chassis, engine and industrial assembly, contributing and building your mechanical skills. You will prepare with appropriate tools and safety equipment, take instructions and be a team player.

You will report to the Assembly Supervisor.

This is a full-time position located in Vancouver, Washington.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the facility
• Assist with aspects of pump and package manufacturing under the guidance of Lead Assemblers and the Assembly Supervisor
• Cut, measure and torque materials as required
• Understand job instructions and complete required job paperwork and documentation in English
• Cut chains, hoses and wires
• Complete battery sub-assemblies
• Assemble bolts, screws and wire harness assemblies on pump packages
• Move materials around the shop with a pallet jack and hand truck

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to work 8-hour shifts
• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to read simple blueprints and other engineering documents from an iPad.
• Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment
• Able and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditions
• Follow all company procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations
• Preferred: Able to provide personal tools to complete assigned tasks

• Vacation (up to 40 hours Vacation time accrued in years 1-3, pro-rated in year 1 based on start date)

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Employees must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are frequently required to kneel or stoop.

While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate noise levels.
