Job summary

ZIEHL-ABEGG in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an Assembly Technician for the 2nd shift to build and test various industrial fans per work orders and scrap targets.

You will read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, stage parts, and operate forklifts while maintaining safety and clean work areas in a non-climate controlled environment. Heavy lifting and standing throughout shift required.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in production.
• Reading blueprints and basic math skills.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Familiar with metric system and Windows-based computers.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and ability to stand for long periods.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assembling various types of industrial fans per work order and scrap targets.
• Balancing and testing fans and motors.
• Staging parts and reading blueprints.
• Using precision measurement equipment.
• Daily workplace cleaning and operating a forklift & pallet jack.
• Other duties as assigned.

Assembly Technician 2nd Shift

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Assembling various types of industrial fans per work order and within stated scrap rates
• Balancing & testing fans and motors
• Staging parts
• Reading blueprints
• Using precision measurement equipment
• Daily workplace cleaning
• Operating a forklift & pallet jack
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Proven work experience in production
• Working with basic hand tools & precision measuring equipment.
• Basic math skills
• Experience with inventory
• Working with hand tools, detail oriented in a fast paced environment, familiar with metric system
• Familiar with windows based computers
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Ability to stand on concrete for the entirety of the shift
• Ability to pick up and move parts
• Heavy lifting (50 lbs. to 70 lbs.)
• Ability to reach, bend, handle, lift, walk and stand
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled environment
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
