Job summary

ZIEHL-ABEGG, INC is seeking a high-energy Assembly Technician for the 2nd shift to contribute to our growing manufacturing operations. You will assemble various types of industrial fans per work orders, balance and test fans and motors, and read blueprints in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in production.
• Reading blueprints and using precision measurement equipment.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing and basic math.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to stand on concrete for the shift and lift 50–70 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assembly Technician 2nd Shift

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Assembling various types of industrial fans per work order and within stated scrap rates
• Balancing & testing fans and motors
• Staging parts
• Reading blueprints
• Using precision measurement equipment
• Daily workplace cleaning
• Operating a forklift & pallet jack
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Proven work experience in production
• Working with basic hand tools & precision measuring equipment.
• Basic math skills
• Experience with inventory
• Working with hand tools, detail oriented in a fast paced environment, familiar with metric system
• Familiar with windows based computers
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Ability to stand on concrete for the entirety of the shift
• Ability to pick up and move parts
• Heavy lifting (50 lbs. to 70 lbs.)
• Ability to reach, bend, handle, lift, walk and stand
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled environment
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
