Job summary

ZIEHL-ABEGG, a world-leading fan and motor manufacturer, seeks an Assembly Technician for 1st shift in the United States. You will assemble various industrial fans per work orders, balance and test components, stage parts, and read blueprints, while using precision measurement tools in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires basic math, hands-on tool experience, lean manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to lift 50–70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in production.
• Working with basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience with inventory.
• Familiar with metric system and Windows-based computers.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Assembly Technician 1st Shift

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Assembling various types of industrial fans per work order and within stated scrap rates
• Balancing & testing fans and motors
• Staging parts
• Reading blueprints
• Using precision measurement equipment
• Daily workplace cleaning
• Operating a forklift & pallet jack
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Proven work experience in production
• Working with basic hand tools & precision measuring equipment.
• Basic math skills
• Experience with inventory
• Working with hand tools, detail oriented in a fast paced environment, familiar with metric system
• Familiar with windows based computers
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Ability to stand on concrete for the entirety of the shift
• Ability to pick up and move parts
• Heavy lifting (50 lbs. to 70 lbs.)
• Ability to reach, bend, handle, lift, walk and stand
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled environment
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
