Looking for Assembly Technician jobs in Oak Creek where craftsmanship and precision come together? This opportunity lets you assemble quality products using hand tools, mechanical skills, and detailed work instructions while helping keep production running efficiently.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, trade school, or vocational training in manufacturing, welding, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing documentation.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, mechanical assembly, industrial equipment assembly, or production environments required.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience wiring electrical panels, harnesses, junction boxes, and industrial equipment.
  • Welding experience and familiarity with fabrication, fit-up, and welding techniques preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, jib cranes, and other material handling equipment is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong blueprint reading and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring devices.
  • Basic computer skills for production tracking, schedules, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to work with tools, machinery, welding equipment, and material handling devices throughout the shift.
  • Must have sufficient vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity to perform precision assembly and inspection tasks.

Job Duties

  • Assemble highly engineered rail and industrial equipment using mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and welding processes.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions to accurately build, modify, repair, and test equipment.
  • Install hydraulic and pneumatic components, perform electrical wiring, create harnesses, and assemble control panels.
  • Perform fabrication, fit-up, welding, drilling, tapping, painting, and final equipment preparation for shipment.
  • Maintain quality standards, complete production documentation, support continuous improvement initiatives, and follow all safety and housekeeping requirements.
