Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Assembly Technician for our Lenexa, KS facility. You will assemble products, inspect finished work, and help ensure safe, accurate, and efficient factory operations.

This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, use hand and power tools, and follow detailed work instructions. High school diploma or GED preferred; 5 years of assembly experience is a plus. Schedule: 1st shift 6:00am-4:30pm, OT on Fridays. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Location: Lenexa, KS

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st shift: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday. Friday would be OT and 6:00am-2:30pm

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Ability and 5 years' experience assembling products or components according to work instructions and production standards.
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools, power tools, fixtures, or production equipment as required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect completed work for quality.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Dependable attendance, teamwork, and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous factory, manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on production lines or assembling mechanical, electrical, or consumer products is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Assembly Technician.
  • Experience performing mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical system assemblies.
  • 2 Year Degree in related Vocational Field of Study.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift components, materials, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to safely handle parts and operate assembly tools or equipment.
  • Ability to maintain productivity in a factory environment while following established safety procedures.
  • This is a production classification and employees work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Accurate hand/eye coordination is required.
  • Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
  • Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time.
  • May lift parts weighing up to pounds.
